The International Office, in cooperation with the Language Centre, is offering a 3rd edition of the intercultural event for its international employees and PhD students. The main topic will be Czech culture, and how to navigate it as a non-Czech person. Spectabiles, honorabiles, cives academici, promovendi carrisimi, vzácní a milí hosté, Univerzita Pardubice si již tradičně slavnostním způsobem připomíná státní svátek České republiky, Den boje za svobodu a demokracii, v předvečer 17. listopadu. Je to den, kdy studenti vysokých škol několikrát významně ovlivnili dějiny našeho národa. Studentské vystoupení v roce 1939 skončilo bohužel velmi tragicky. Nacistický režim na ně odpověděl nesmírně krutým způsobem uplatněným jak přímo vůči studentům, tak i uzavřením vysokých škol. Ty byly po skončení války opět otevřeny, ale po dlouhá deseti...
