Fast track
It is a tool that helps to accelerate the procedure of visa/long-term permit application.
Who is eligible?
The students of the third countries (excluding EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland), who are accepted to study in the Czech Republic based on bilateral or multilateral international agreements and governmental resolution. The project includes Erasmus+ students (International credit mobility, also known as Erasmus+ KA171) and the Fulbright programme.
How does it work?
The students are nominated by the host institution. The University informs the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, which forwards the information to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant Embassy. The embassy arranges an appointment with the student within 14 days. The embassy sends the application to the Ministry of the Interior (OAMP) within 7 days. The Ministry of the Interior makes a decision within 30 days, and the embassy invites the student to collect the visa.
How much does it cost?
The fee for a long-term visa is 2500 CZK. The embassy can waive the fee in this case (a visa for the purpose of study).
What do I have to do?
In case you are interested in being included in the Fast Track procedure, please contact your host institution coordinator, Martina Votoupalová (martina.votoupalova@upce.cz). She might ask you to provide your personal data, such as your passport number or telephone number, if it is not available in your Portal account. At the same time, gather your documents for the visa application so that you are ready for the appointment at the Embassy.
