I was born on Christmas Eve in Pardubice. Then I lived for over 20 years in the picturesque town of Nová Paka in the foothills of the Giant Mountains, where I also studied at the eight-year General Gymnasium, which I finished in 2007. As part of my studies I was a member of the editorial board of the school magazine, played theatre in the school ensemble and co-organised sports tournaments. I was also a member of OPEN ART, z.s. and co-organised summer workshops for children and youth, the Muzika Paka alternative culture festival and the Master Josef Muzika International Violin Competition. In my free time I was a referee of athletics. After graduating from secondary school, I looked for a part-time job in Nová Paka and started working at the local branch of Penny Market as a warehouse clerk. At the same time, I started studying at the Jan Perner Transport Faculty of the University of Pardubice, first for a bachelor's degree and then for a master's degree in Transport Management, Marketing and Logistics, which I successfully completed in 2012, even though I was not the most diligent and exemplary student. I then went on to pursue a PhD in Technology and Management in Transport and Telecommunications with a focus on Management. In the store of Penny Market s.r.o. in Nová Paka I changed all other positions during my studies and worked my way up to the position of store manager, which I held for two years. In the meantime, I also worked part-time in other companies (Transport Research Centre, v.v.i.; SCIO; TNT Post ČR s.r.o.; Centre for Public Opinion Research, v.v.i.), from which I draw valuable experience to this day. Since I understood that it is not possible to "ride two horses at the same time", I decided to complete my PhD studies.

In 2015, I started working as a lecturer at the Department of Transport Management, Marketing and Logistics at the Faculty of Transport Engineering and began teaching courses focused on marketing and economics. A year later I successfully completed my PhD studies and since then I have been working at the department as a senior lecturer. I currently teach courses focused on marketing and green logistics.

My scientific research focuses on greenhouse gas emission calculations in the transport sector and on the marketing of transport services. I have had the opportunity to collaborate on the TAČR Zéta project (Setting new educational and training priorities reflecting the changing needs of the labour market in the transport and communications sector) implemented with Česká pošta, s.p. and the Association of Secondary Schools of Information Technology, Telecommunications, Money Management, Postal Industry and Logistics, as well as on contract research for the Union of Chemical Industry of the Czech Republic and ŠKODA AUTO a.s. and on projects funded by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and ERASMUS+.

My hobbies are mainly travelling and hiking, and I wish everyone would visit Iceland and Finland at least once, even though the climate is colder there.
