University of Pardubice, Faculty of Chemical Technology, Department of Physical Chemistry.

I am a young woman who enjoys working in a lab and who loves science. I got a soft spot for science during my bachelor studies 13 years ago and my passion has never faded. I had the luck to be a part of the excellent team of Professor Bulánek at the Department of Physical Chemistry. Thanks to this opportunity I discovered the secrets of zeolite chemistry, adsorption research, and surface chemistry. It concerns mainly preparation and characterisation of adsorbents, measuring of adsorption isotherms and adsorption heat.

After the lab work it is important to publish the obtained results in professional journals and present them at professional scientific conferences. I am author or co-author of at least 15 publications and countless contributions to conference proceedings.

I like to meet with students, I love their energy and enthusiasm. They tend to come up with very unusual and innovative ideas. On top of that, I like to give popular scientific lectures on various topics and focus on improving my knowledge of foreign languages.

I love travelling, getting to know new countries and natural sights. It was thanks to my doctoral degree study and international cooperation of our group that I managed to visit many countries. On an imaginary map I could stick a pin in such countries as France, Bulgaria, Finland, or Japan. The last two mentioned countries, Finland and Japan, have grown very close to my heart. Thanks to my experience from abroad I spend my free time helping my foreign colleagues, whether accompanying them to the doctor, to local authorities, or showing them tourist attractions in the Czech Republic.

Another hobby of mine is photography, I love the wilderness of the Finnish countryside and nature. Japan was different than Finland and during the 9 months of my stay there I managed to get to know it just a little, but it helped me to move forward in many ways, for example I started taking pictures not only of nature, but also of street art. My stays abroad brought me new experience, better communication skills and most importantly new friends. I also like to read a good book, be it a detective story, fantasy, or a novel. I am happy when I can leave a chunk of good work behind, so I am not afraid to work with my hands either.
