Accommodation for Erasmus+/Exchange Students

Information for Erasmus+/exchange students in the academic year 2019/2020

The Accommodation centre provides exchange/Erasmus+ students with two types of accommodation at the University Halls of Residence.

2-bed room BIG CLASSIC

  • a double room with a fridge inside the room
  • a shared bathroom, toilet and kitchen – they are on the corridor and shared with other students on the corridor
  • fixed internet connection + WIFI
  • average accommodation price is around 4.350 CZK per person per month

2-bed APARTMENT

  • a apartment for two persons which includes a bathroom and kitchen (with a fridge and cooker, but without kitchen equipment)
  • fixed internet connection + WIFI
  • average accommodation price is around 6.000 CZK per person per month

 

Do you want to make a reservation?

You have to contact Mrs. Petra Macháňová at petra.machanova@upce.cz or accommodation@upce.cz. Please provide her with the following information:

  1. full name and surname
  2. date of birth
  3. name and surname of the owner of the bank account from which you will pay the deposit
  4. type of accommodation that you prefer

We will make the reservation only when we receive your payment, not earlier!

Students who do not specify the required accommodation type and/or do not pay the deposit will be provided with the currently available accommodation.

 

Prepayment

You have to pay the amount of 230 EUR + all transfer-related bank charges (deposit above 6000 CZK). This will be used for your refundable accommodation deposit.

Bank charges settled by: the payer

(if you select a different option, the transfer fee will be deducted from your reservation deposit).

Name and address of the payer: fill in the full name of the student for the purposes of payment identification.

2. WebPay

You have to send an email to: petra.machanova@upce.cz or accommodation@upce.cz and we will send you the link with all important information for payments. The link is valid for only one day, so it is important that you check your email.

Deadline for transfer of deposit

For students who need a VISA

  • for the winter term, by 1 July 2019
  • for the summer term, by 12 December 2019

For other students

  • for the winter term, by 15 August 2019
  • for the summer term, by 15 January 2020

 

Do you need confirmation of your accommodation for a visa?

We are able to issue a "Confirmation of Accommodation" document for your visa application. We will issue the document when we have received your deposit transfer.

Please provide us with the following information in order to get your Confirmation of Accommodation as soon as possible:

  1. full name and surname
  2. date of birth
  3. nationality
  4. passport number

 

ARRIVAL

Winter semester

It is necessary to arrive in the period from 16 September to 23 September 2019. Please inform us by email when you will be arriving.

 

Summer semester

It is necessary to arrive in the period from 17 February till 24 February 2020. Please inform us by email when you will be arriving.

To check-in, please go to the central reception situated in block C (opening hours: 06:00 - 22:00).

When will you pay for the accommodation?

The first accommodation payment is paid together with the accommodation fee for the next month (winter term: part of September + whole month of October; summer term: part of February + whole month of March)

The accommodation payment period: from 1st and 15th day of the month

The deposit is refunded to the student (paid into the student´s bank account) upon regular termination of the accommodation agreement after settling all debts.

 

What happens to the deposit if you don´t arrive?

If you paid the deposit and you don´t arrive, you have to contact Mrs. Petra Macháňová.

If you cancel the reservation less than 30 days before the start of your accommodation period = we charge a fee of 1.000 CZK!

If you cancel the reservation during the arrival period = we charge a fee of 2.000 CZK!

If you cancel the reservation after the arrival period = we charge a fee of 3.000 CZK!

 

The cancellation fee is deducted from the deposit.

The rest of the deposit is returned on the basis of a written application. You have to write email with the following important information:

  1. full name and surname
  2. date of birth
  3. bank account
  4. IBAN
  5. SWIFT CODE
