The City of Pardubice and the University itself provide a very wide range of opportunities for the students to spend their free time.

The University campus offers the students gymnasiums with a modern gym, a fitness centre, clubrooms, tennis courts, a boathouse, and tennis, football, and basketball grounds allowing training in all sports at various levels.

The City of Pardubice lies in lowlands, offering great opportunities for cycling and in-line skating. The city has an indoor swimming pool and two open-air pools. An ice hockey rink is within a walking distance of the campus.

Every autumn, Pardubice holds a world famous Velká Pardubická steeplechase, and a well known speedway race Zlatá přilba – Golden Helmet. Pardubice’s ice-hockey team plays in the National Czech League, and the matches played in the Pardubice Arena are famous for their fantastic atmosphere.

University Art Gallery

The library satisfies those who appreciate fine art with its small gallery in the lounge where the works of predominantly young regional artists are exhibited.

Student clubs

The dormitory offers a number of clubs and activities, such as photography, exhibitions etc. The academic clubs "A" and "Dýdy Baba" are popular places where students like to gather and meet. They provide weekday-evening programmes for students (discos, sport event screenings). The nearby Žlutý pes – Yellow Dog music club holds live performances of Czech and also international bands.

The May student festival called “Majales”, with its thirty year tradition, regularly takes place on the campus, hosting many popular singers and music groups in open-air concerts.

Academic choir

Those who like singing can join the Academic Choir that gives concerts and successfully participates in festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad, including the International Festival of Academic Choirs - IFAS - organized in Pardubice every other year.

Theatre and cinema

In the city centre, there are various opportunities to go out in the evening, esp. the City Theatre of Pardubice, Theatre 29 with an alternative scene, the cinema multiplex CINESTAR, and various night clubs with live music and DJs performances.
