The goal of the project is to create an intelligent firewall application for industrial networks. This firewall will be part of the application, which will be communicating with the software defined networks controller.

The application will utilize principles of artificial intelligence specifically artificial neural networks. The firewall will work in two modes: learning and autonomous.

In autonomous mode the firewall will automatically perform filtering operations. These operations will include traditional ones (allow, deny) and more advanced ones as well (deep inspection on the application layer), message duplication, or flow classification for the QoS.

Development and commercialization of equipment and application of electrodialysis with bipolar membrane (EDBM) is the aim of the project. Equipment should consist of optimized bipolar membrane, pilot membrane module EDBM-Y, pilot unit EDBM-Y and industrial scale module EDBM-II, all of them newly developed, produced and evaluated on real solution. Equipment should be applied for NaOH and H2SO4 production from waster Na2SO4 stream, coming from tailing pond of uranium mine located at state owned company DIAMO branch GEAM. Technology application should be described in terms of size, mass and energy balance and investment and operation costs should be estimated.
This project is focused on application of complex vanadium compounds in paint producing industry. These compounds should serve as ecological alternative for currently used cobalt-based driers of alkyd-based paints.
Modern cyclization reactions will be studied
The aim of the project is to research and develop unique supplements in the form of capsules or granulates, containing monoglycerides for positive
influence of human microbiom. Such a products are not on the market yet. In the frame of the project will be antimicrobial effect of active ingredients
evaluated on typical patogens as well as physical behaviour of the developed products from dissolution point of view.
The aim of the project is proof of concept of the technology for development of a new combined drug with paracetamol. This new pharmaceutical product will possess lower toxicity in comparison with other products. The use of standard pharma-product containing paracetamol can lead to the toxicity in liver and kidney after overdose. Based on our mostly unpublished and unique results, the main aim of present project is to prove our hypothesis on possible defense against this toxicity. The outcome of our project will be: 1) development of a new combined drug product containing paracetamol with lower toxicity 2) followed by commercialization.
The aim of the project is to utilize principles and approaches of software defined networks in the area of intelligent Smart Grid networks for power industry. The proposed solution aims to increase security of control systems in VN distribution points and VVN transmission and distribution networks of electricity. The proposed complex solution of securing a safe operation and remote administration of individual control systems of distribution points and IED devices communicating IEC communication standards. The proposed solution will further reflect on requirements of the Act on Cybersecurity and it will also include a proposal of cooperation between intelligent security system and end IED elements monitoring systems. Utilizing SDN will enable utilizing specialized approaches using data outputs gained from a real-time data analysis and depending on its results, optimization of data traffic and assurance of reliability and safety of intelligent Smart Grid networks can be utilized.
The project is focused on the development of new types of materials, use and application of new techniques for surface treatment and pretreatment with high levels of know-how substantially improved functionality. New coatings will be effective and achieve tailored properties and will meet present or future environmental demands. It is aimed to commercialize the results and coordinate them with EU and CR priorities. The research topics are defined in long term horizon.
