Pozornost věnuje především tomu, jakým způsobem lze přenášet prvky typické pro jazykový koučink do tohoto specifického vzdělávacího kontextu za účelem posílení autonomie učení. Opírá se o empirická data z hodin odborného anglického jazyka neboli angličtiny pro specifické účely. Zmíněné nové přístupy vycházejí z autorčiných přesvědčení vztahujících se k tzv. post-method konceptu v lingvodidaktice na jedné straně a víry v to, že autonomní studenti si snadněji osvojují měkké dovednosti požadované od profesionálů 21. století (kritické myšlení, kreativita, emoční inteligence). Příspěvek rovněž nastiňuje design budoucího akčního výzkumu založeného na shromážděných empirických datech.
eng Supporting Learner Autonomy in Higher Education This paper will present examples of some innovative approaches to language learning in higher education. It will explain how some of the elements that are typical for language coaching can be used in the specific teaching context to enhance language learner autonomy, providing empirical evidence from classes of English for Specific Purposes as support. The new approaches are motivated by those of the author´s beliefs that are related to the so-called post-method concept in language teaching methodology and also connected with the conviction that autonomous students find it easier to learn the top soft skills that will be required from professionals in the 21st century, including critical thinking, creativity and emotional intelligence. The paper will also outline the design of the future action research that will draw on the collected empirical evidence. learner autonomy; higher education; language coaching; English for Specific Purposes
