Past and Present	While Canada, the United States and New Zealand hae managed to lift the health standards of their Indigenous communities since the 1980s, Australian Aboriginal people suffer a worsening health crisis. Indigenous Australians were twice as likely to report poor health as non-indigenous Australians. In addition, there is a huge inequality in life expectancy. Further, approximately 50% of urban Indigenous people seeking medical attention were also found to have a mental health disorder.
