eng	Coherence Relations and Coherent Reactions	Rhetorical Structure Theory (RST) is a descriptive theory which characterizes the coherence of a text by tree diagrams representing coherence relations holding between text segments. There are several issues concerning the theory, among them the criticism concerning failure to capture the procedural aspect of discourse in RST analyses. In my paper, I would like to show how the dialogical approach to written discourse, advocated by Winter and Hoey, could help the analyst, at least as an informal heuristic method, to represent the temporal and interactional dimension of discourse and deal with the above mentioned shortcoming.	discourse analysis, rhetorical structure theory, dialogical approach
