Reflecting the Needs and Measuring the Achievement The paper attempts to present some pressing issues of teaching ESP in the area of higher education in the Czech educational context. It, therefore, pinpoints some convergent trends in the EU educational policy and subsequently, it uses the theory of curriculum design in order to define the framework for further analyses.
