Approach to Learning Languages in Intercultural Context	The article deals with the issue of teaching foreign languages on the basis of a survey done among students of the University of Pardubice. The survey was intended to find out the respondents? attitude towards the German language and its role in life. The answers showed the need to teach German to young people. German is important in our regions, primarily for economic and professional reasons and also from the geographical point of view.
