Getting to Pardubice

When you fly to the Czech Republic, you will probably arrive at Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic. At the airport you will find information about transport from airport to the main train station in Prague (Praha hlavní nádraží). The easiest way is the EA bus line (Airport Express): the bus stop is in front of the Arrivals hall.

At the main station, trains from Prague to Pardubice depart frequently (check times here). The journey takes approximately one hour.

You can also fly to the Pardubice Airport. From this airport you can take bus number 90 connecting the terminal and main train station (Pardubice hlavní nádraží). The bus departs every 30 and 60 minutes after scheduled flight arrivals.

From Pardubice’s station you can get to the University of Pardubice campus by taking bus number 3, 33 or 17 (the stop "Terminál Univerzita" is in front of the University Library). Another possibility is bus number 30 and 16 (the stop "Univerzita" is located in the centre of the University campus).

When you arrive in Pardubice

The first thing you will probably do, is to check in at the dormitories (the reception is in building KC). A map of the campus you can find here.

You will get an information e-mail from the Erasmus faculty coordinator indicating the date of your faculty welcome meeting. Participation in the welcome meeting is very important, as you will then receive a lot of necessary information.

Getting online on the campus

Instructions to get on the university wifi are available here. Just switch into English. In case of any troubles with getting online do not hesitate to contact our IT department or your buddy student. To get online you will need your student access data indicated on your university Student ID card. You will get your Student card from your Buddy student just after your arrival. You will be contacted by him/her in advance.

Orientation week

The week before each semester starts, there is an Orientation week that will help you to integrate into the Czech way of life and the academic system. During this week an intensive Czech language course is held and you can attend it for free.

ESN Pardubice

You will be contacted by your buddy from the ESN Pardubice before your arrival. They can pick you up at the train station and guide you to your accommodation and inform you about activities during the semester. ESN will make your experience at the University more enjoyable.
