Getting to Pardubice
When you fly to the Czech Republic, you should arrive to Vaclav Havel Airport Prague in the capital city of the Czech Republic. At the airport you will find information about transportation from airport to the main train station in Prague (Praha hl.n.). The easiest way is the EA bus line (Airport Express), the bus stop is in front of the Arrivals hall. At the main station, trains from Prague to Pardubice depart frequently (check times here). The journey takes approximately one hour. From Pardubice’s station you can get to the University of Pardubice campus by taking bus number 3, 33, 17 (the stop "Polabiny, Hradecká" is in front of the University Library). Another possibility is bus number 10 and 16 (the stop "Univerzita" is located in the center of the University campus).
When you arrive in Pardubice
The first thing, you will probably do, is to go to the residence assigned to you (the reception 24/7 is in the building KC). Map of the campus you can find here. You will get an information email from the institutional Erasmus coordinator with the dates of Welcome meeting at your faculty and the name of your faculty coordinator. Participation at the welcome meeting is very important; you will find out there lots of necessary information.
At the beginning of each semester there is an Orientation week that will help you to integrate into the Czech way of life and the academic system. It starts at 19th of September 2016 day and we strongly recommend you to be here for the Orientation week.
