Intercultural communication

Successful communication in a foreign language not only involves the acquisition of lexical and grammatical phenomena, it mainly requires the application of knowledge and skills of language pragmatics, i.e. contextual aspect of communication.
Regarding the fact that different languages and different ethnics reflect their perception of reality into communication despite they use International English as a lingua franca. Intercultural competence is therefore an inevitable prerequisite for understanding, foreseeing reactions and correct interpretation of verbal, non-verbal and paraverbal communication.
