2013

Department of Transport Management, Marketing and Logistics participated in 2013 in two projects within the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS, MŠMT in Czech), Education for Competitiveness OP (ECOP):

  1. POSTA - SUPPORT OF SHORT TERM ATTACHMENTS AND SKILFUL ACTIVITIES FOR INNOVATION OF TERTIARY EDUCATION AT THE JAN PERNER TRANSPORT FACULTY AND FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND INFORMATICS – UNIVERSITY OF PARDUBICE (CZ.1.07/2.4.00/17.0107)

Realization of this project started on 1st June 2011. The partner of the project is the  National Technology Platform „Interoperability of the railway infrastructure“. The end of this project is due in May 2014.

Project is financed by European Social Fund (ESF) and state budget of the Czech Republic through Education for Competitiveness OP (ECOP), priority axis 2: Tertiary Education. More information can be found here.

  1. IVINTEP - ENGINEER EDUCATION AS INTERACTION OF THEORY AND PRAXIS (CZ.1.07/2.2.00/15.0352)

Department of Transport Management, Marketing and Logistics in cooperation with representatives of the Jan Perner Transport Faculty (DFJP UPa) continued in realization of 36 month lasting project.

Project is financed by European Social Fund (ESF) and state budget of the Czech Republic through Education for Competitiveness OP (ECOP), priority axis 2: Tertiary education. The aim of the project is to improve the engineering education of the DFJP students corresponding with the curren demand of transport enterprices in order to be more competitive on labour work market. Project is focused on students of full-time and part-time mode of master study.

  1. IN2 - INTEGRATION AND INNOVATION OF THE EDUCATION IN THE FRAMES OF STUDY PROGRAMMES REALIZED ON UNIVERSITY OF PARDUBICE (CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0272)

Project is focused on enhancing quality of the education process by means of cooperation between departments and faculties of the University of Pardubice. The aim of the project is to create conditions and motivation for cooperation and integration of the top academic workers. Project is focused on teachers and students as the focus groups. In realization of this project exclusively participates the University of Pardubice.

Roman Hruška, Ph.D. as co-solver of the project FREIGHT AND LOGISTICS ADVANCEMENT IN CENTRAL/SOUTH-EAST EUROPE - VALIDATION OF TRADE AND TRANSPORT PROCESSES, IMPLEMENTANTION OF IMPROVEMENTS ACTIONS, APPLICATION OF COORDINATED STRUCTURES (FLAVIA), financed by the force of programme "INTERREG III" (01.03.2010-28.02.2013)

IPoCC conference (International Postal and e-Communications Conference)
has been organized by the Department of Transport Management, Marketing and Logistics at the Jan Perner Transport Faculty since 2006 in a two-year cycle. IPoCC is an alternation to POSTPOINT international conference, which was organized by the University of Žilina, also a partner of the IPoCC conference.

IPoCC 2012 took place on 13 - 14th September 2012 and was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Dean of the Jan Perner Transport Faculty prof. Ing. Bohumil Culek, Ph.D. The conference was attended by 100 guests. The main theme of this year's conference was the issue of the completion of the postal sector liberalization process and setting conditions for operating fully open postal market. This should be inspired by electronic communications sector.

Presentations were presented by Francois Guillaume Postel (Ernst & Young), Koppány Matyas (Hungarian Post), Ing. Hana Hankiewiczová (Communications activities and regulation of postal services) or Dr. Robert Waist (eGovernment, Ministry of the Interior). In addition to that, representatives of Slovak Post and Serbian Post spoke about their experience and knowledge in preparation for fully liberalized postal market in the future.

In the technical conference sections, there were presentations on the RFID technology and its application in the postal services sector, for example presented by Claus Møller from the Danish company Lyngsoe Systems. A separate section was devoted to the new opportunities for postal operators, especially in connection with the development of e-government. Contributions on this topic were presented by representatives of the Czech Post and the Slovak Post.
