Institute of Mathematics

The Institute provides the tuition of mathematics throughout the whole University of Pardubice. In addition to the traditional mathematic fields such as mathematic analysis, algebra, probability, statistics, numerical methods and discrete mathematics, it also arranges for lessons in applied mathematics, econometrics and methods of operational research given within the framework of follow-up Master and PhD courses of study.

As far as scientific research and consultations are concerned, the Institute specializes mainly on statistical and numerical methods in varying areas of application, in mathematical modelling and in the optimization of transport systems as well as in pedagogical research.
