SCIENTIFIC PROFILE
He studied organic chemistry at the University of Pardubice where he also obtained his doctorate in 2005. After successful habilitation at the Faculty of Chemical Technology in 2010 he joined the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology (University of Pardubice) as Assoc. Professor. He pursued one-month intership at the University of Szeged (Hungary), one-month intership at the Comenius Univesity, Bratislava (Slovakia), three-month intership at the Ludwig Maximilians Universität, Munchen (Germany) under supervision of P. Knochel, and subsequently he became postdoctoral fellow at the ETH Zurich (Switzerland) with F. Diederich.
His current research include the design and synthesis of organic materials (charge-transfer chromophores) featuring nonlinear optical properties as well as chiral ligands and their application in asymmetric reactions. He is author or co-author of 27 scientific publications, h-index 7. He is a member of the Czech Chemical Society.
