Ing. Martin Keppert, Ph.D., b. Prague 1978, graduated in 2002 from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, specialisation: technology of inorganic materials. His research was focussed on photocatalysis on TiO2. He earned his Ph.D. at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim in 2006, based on his thesis devoted to electrochemistry in molten salts. He completed study visits in the UK and France during his study. Since 2007 he has been Assistant Professor at the Institute of Materials Engineering and Chemistry, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague. He is engaged in the investigation of the microstructure and chemical properties of building materials and, lately, of the application options for ashes from municipal waste incineration plants.
