The travelling exhibition of large-format photographs organised by the University of Pardubice and titled ZVĚTŠENO (MAGNIFIED) is back at the Pardubice Chateau. It presents an unconventional view of the little things around us. And so, while strolling along the ramparts, visitors can not only admire the wonders of the world that cannot be seen by the naked eye, they can also put their knowledge to the test. All year round.

The MAGNIFIED Exhibition presents a set of ten scientific large-format photographs, attached to five gigantic outside stands, that originated during research activities at the various faculties of the University of Pardubice.
Micro a macro views of materials and instruments
These include, for example, views of preparations, magnified in size several hundred times, made available by the Faculty of Chemical Technology that serve primarily for research purposes and which have been captured in an unconventional way by a research optical microscope. The Faculty of Restoration in Litomyšl has made available black-and-white photographs that bring insight into the microworld of the various materials that surround us or with which restaurateurs work or which the Department of Chemical Technology has documented using a scanning electron microscope.
A touch of unusualness in regards to point of view and processing can also be found in the macro photographs of tools, instruments and materials that document in a visually interesting way the practical aids, methods and procedures used and applied as part of the modern scientific and research activities of the Faculty of Health Studies, Faculty of Economics and Administration and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pardubice.
In August, the travelling exhibition will be a part of the Science Point of the University of Pardubice that will be put up in connection with the Pardubice Olympic Park. So, apart from seeing gigantic scientific photographs at the ramparts of the Pardubice Chateau, Olympic Park visitors can also have fun participating in a special programme aimed at a wider public including attractive interactive demonstrations of interesting things from the seven faculties of the University of Pardubice.
