Getting to Pardubice
When you fly to the Czech Republic, you should arrive to Ruzyně Airport in Prague (Praha, Letiště Ruzyně), the capital city of the Czech Republic. At the airport you will find information about transportation from airport to the main train station in Prague (Praha hl.n.). Local bus and then metro is the cheapest way to get there. Ask at the information desk about the bus number and metro line. At the main station, trains from Prague to Pardubice depart frequently (check times here). The journey takes approximately one hour. From Pardubice’s station you can get to the University of Pardubice campus by taking trolley-bus number 3, 4 or bus 17 (stop at the Aral filling station or next station is infront of the University Library). Another possibility is bus number 16 (the sixth stop is located in the centre of the University campus).
When you arrive in Pardubice
The first thing, you will probably do, is to go to the residence assigned to you. You will get an information email from the institutional Erasmus coordinator with the dates of Welcome meeting at your faculty and the name of your faculty coordinator. Participation at the welcome meeting is very important, you will find out there lots of necessary information. Contact your Buddy from the Buddy Program. They will make your experience at the University more joyful.
