Research Focus

Jan Čapek served as professor of Managerial Informatics in Institute of System Engineering and Informatics of Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic. He was born 1946, graduate University of Transport and Communication (VŠDS) Žilina at Slovakia year 1970, PGS Czech Technical University (ČVUT) Praha 1976, candidate of science (approx. PhD) ČVUT Praha 1981, habilitate assoc. prof. He is a specialist for system identification, information system security, modeling and simulation. He is author and co-author approx. 180 publications, some of them are 70x cited by home and foreign authors. He is a member GISIG (Geographical Information Systems International) in EU and CAGI (Czech association for geo-informatics), member of Scientific council of University Pardubice, Scientific council of University of Hradec Králové, Scientific council of Faculty informatics and management University of Hradec Králové and Scientific council Faculty of Nature science of University Hradec Králové, Scientific council of Business Faculty Technical University of Liberec, Scientific council of Faculty Statistic and Informatics of Economics University in Prague and Scientific council Faculty of Economics and Administration University of Pardubice.
He has been solver and responsible solver 4 basal research tasks and 21 applied research tasks, main co-ordinator of the four TEMPUS JEP project and has been responsible solver four EU grants within the COPERNICUS scheme , ESPON 1.3.3 project, grant of Ministry of Interior Czech Republic 2 grant from Grant Agency of the Czech Republic.
He is holder of 17 patents, one of them of USA, Sweden and Germany.
