The goal of the education in the study programme "Chemistry and technology of inorganic materials" is to lead students to independent research work in the field of inorganic materials. The PhD graduate manages both theoretical and practical aspects of materials research with the application of advanced experimental characterization methods and modern technologies. During the study students also deepen their knowledge of solid state chemistry and physics and experimental methods in the field of their PhD thesis.

PhD graduates can find employment in research laboratories or fabrication plants of virtually all industries, where inorganic materials are produced or applied and can solve problems relating to the development and application of new materials, development of new processing technologies or innovation of traditional materials. He can find work in the various branches of industry, where inorganic materials are used such as electronics, computers, telecommunications, machinery, aerospace industry, nuclear technology, etc.
