Project Team CMS was launched on the 1/8/2009 under the scope of the Operational Program Education for Competitiveness (OP EfC), Priority Axis no. 2 Tertiary education, research and development, Area of support: 2.3 Human resources in research and development.

This project is very closely linked to the project called "The Center of Materials Science Pardubice“ (CMS), which is being prepared into the Operational Program Research and Development for Innovation (OP R&DfI), Priority Axis 1, Area of support 1.1 European centers of excellence. CMS is a project of an investment character, that will help to ensure superior, high-quality R & D facilities, equipment with "high tech" technologies and the latest new devices. Under the "start-up“ grant, which will be part of the support from the OP R&DfI, the development of R & D activities and international cooperation in research, preparation of major R & D projects will be ensured.

 Project "TEAM CMS“ is an important additional non-investment project.

 
Professional training program will become the basis of training system and further training of potential candidates for the position of top R & D personnel for either emerging CMS,  or for other R & D institutions in the CR (universities, R & D institutes, companies) engaged in material or related research.

 
The main objective of the project is to form and implement a comprehensive program of technical training of young and promising R & D staff, including doctoral students and master's degree programs (students) in material science, with emphasis on latest technology, knowledge, equipment and practical applications in the fields of chemistry and physics of solids, surfaces and thin films, optics, optoelectronics and photonics, new promising materials, nanomaterials and new energy sources, etc.

 

In October 2008, the lecture courses of two key activities  were officially launched. On the 15/10/2009, there was given a first lecture by doc. Celý from the Masaryk University on the theme of Solid State Physics ( Under the scope of The Key Activity 01 - Theoretical and practical training by Czech experts). The Key Activity 02 - Lectures and practical training conducted by foreign experts - began on  19.10 - 23.10.2009 by the lecture series of Prof. Kasap from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada on the theme of Physics and application of eletronic materials.
